It has been one week since I returned from Panama. The flights were hassle-free and on-time, and arriving back at SFO felt really, really good.
Since I’ve been back and reacquainting with friends and family, the common question has been “How was your trip?” to which I say “It was great, it was all great.”
Then, I get “What was the best part?” or “What was the single most-crazy thing you did?” To the first I often cite the few days I spent in San Carlos de Bariloche with Whit and Drew. And to the second I mainly respond with “I ate steak.”
The trip really was wonderful. I saw a part of the world I had never been to, and got to experience it with my most favorite people. The time away also provided what I had hoped in terms of a refresher and chance to think about the next chapter in my life (read: new job). A few leads here and there look promising - I am excited for whatever’s next!
Aside from the job hunt, I hope to explore daytime San Francisco a bit, and am also getting involved in the “I Live Here: SF” project. I participated back in February, and have since stayed in touch with the photographer, who has a show coming up in November at the SOMarts Cultural Center. It’s all in the very early stages, but is still fun to be involved in!
I plan to continue blogging until I find work again. Hope you’ll check back soon!
